FAQ: Prospectus

Q: Is it possible to enter the IB Programme from ACS(I) Express stream?

A: Yes! You have two opportunities to do so. The first is to secure a DSA by sports or by academics based on your Mid-Year grades. That has a cut off score of 20 points. The second is to enter by the conventional O Level track, which would be the same as O level students from other schools.

Q: Do you know what the DSA procedure is like to get into ACSI (Y5)?

A: http://sites.acsindep.edu.sg/dsayear5/
The DSA procedure normally starts in May/June each year!

Q: Is it harder to get a scholarship if you do IB as opposed to A Levels?

A: Not really! Most of the requirements for A Levels are comparable to that of IB, and there are no scholarships (including government ones) that explicitly discriminate against students who did the IB.

Year To Year AC
Year To Year is a student-run website dedicated to helping you to find out more about school and its banalities/trivialities/peculiarities. We value the unique experiences of seniors and alumni who have walked the journey before, and the wisdom they can impart. We are not formally affiliated to ACS (Independent), and do not reflect any official stance or viewpoint of the school. We are constantly looking out for passionate people interested in joining us as writers or designers to make a difference to the school community. Contact us at joinus@yeartoyear.ac to help out!
